Project Explanation: The funding would be used to acquire a comprehensive public safety program that will enable immediate aerial deployment to active first responder situations, provide live video to responding deputies, and allow for rapid assessment of emergencies before arrival.

Project Explanation: The funding would be used to replace their outdated Records Management System (RMS) with a modern, integrated public safety records platform that will improve operational efficiency, officer safety, data accuracy, and community policing capabilities

Project Explanation: The funding would be used to strengthen and expand the Forsyth WINS initiative by increasing outreach capacity, supporting violence interruption activities, enhancing community mobilization efforts, and strengthening data systems and evaluation.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used for renovations and space reconfiguration of a multi-use municipal facility that houses administrative offices as well as the Police and Fire Departments.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to construct a new fuel farm to increase fuel storage capacity and improve safety for fuel trucks.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to convert a vacant industrial facility into a modern workforce and innovation hub, providing workforce training classrooms and labs, small-scale manufacturing bays, prototyping studios, and an entrepreneur maker resource center.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to construct a standalone, advanced manufacturing lab on the school campus.

 

Project Name: Intersection System Safety Enhancements

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used for traffic signal pre-emption technology which would allow approaching emergency responders to safely control traffic signals to hold cross traffic.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used for construction of a new fire station with increased regional capacity to manage large-scale incidents, disasters, and medical emergencies.

 

Project Name: Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Advanced Manufacturing Building and Equipment

Project Recipient: Rowan-Cabarrus Community College

Requested Amount: $2,000,000

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to construct an advanced manufacturing building on campus to be outfitted with critical industrial training equipment which will enable the facility to function as a regional manufacturing workforce center.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to build affordable housing units.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to construct a new emergency medical services (EMS) station with vehicle bays designed to house multiple ambulance units, dedicated space for equipment storage, and space to support EMS personnel and emergency response operations.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to construct a permanent open-air, covered farmers market pavilion and supporting infrastructure to expand local agricultural commerce and small business development.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to build new roadway infrastructure in support of the redevelopment a vacant, blighted former mill site, which was remediated through a brownfields cleanup grant.

Project Explanation: Funding for this project would be used to redevelop a 1951 public housing development by demolishing the 46 outdated housing units and preparing the property for future development.
