Congressman McDowell Released the Following Statement on the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Addison McDowell (NC-06) released the following statement on the House Budget Committee’s markup of the budget resolution, which cuts taxes for families and provides the Trump-Vance administration with the tools needed to secure our border.

“House Republicans are delivering on our promise to reignite the economy, secure the border, and put America first. This budget resolution is the first step towards reining in reckless spending and reverses the open-border policies that have fueled the fentanyl crisis.

“Democrats will stop at nothing to protect the failures of the last four years. We won’t let that happen. It’s time to fix the mess of the Biden-Harris era and make President Trump’s historic tax cuts permanent.
