Rep. Addison McDowell Takes Oath of Office, Commits to Fight for North Carolina’s Sixth District

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Addison McDowell issued the following statement as he prepares to be sworn in as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s Sixth Congressional District:

“I am incredibly humbled by the trust my community has placed in me to be their voice in Congress, and I look forward to making them proud as we shape America’s future together,” said Congressman McDowell. “I’m eager to get to work delivering on the priorities of North Carolina’s 6th District in the 119th Congress.”

For the 119th Congress, Congressman McDowell was selected to serve on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the Natural Resources Committee, and the Budget Committee.

“Serving the community I grew up in is truly an honor of a lifetime,” McDowell continued. “I look forward to being a resource and advocate for the great people all across the district.”
